The RIMCO 8500 series of tipping bucket rain gauges are designed and constructed for long-term operation with minimal maintenance under almost all climatic conditions. All materials used are corrosion resistant. This proven instrument is accurate to within 5% for rainfall rates from 25mm/hr to 350mm/hr and better than 7% up to 440mm/hr for the 0.1mm model and accurate to within 4% for rainfall rates from 25mm/hr to 350mm/hr and better than 6% up to 440mm/hr for the 0.2mm and 0.25mm models.
The RIMCO 8500 may be mounted at ground level on a level slab or on the optional stand 8000PED1 which elevates the collection rim to 1 meter above ground level. Other heights are available to order.
