Auxiliary Air Fume Hoods

The Auxiliary Air Hood conserves energy by introducing outside air into the hood, reducing the loss of tempered air from the laboratory.

Uniflow Auxiliary Air fume hoods are designed to direct and maintain a smooth uniform flow of air into the fume chamber and across the work surface. Aerodynamic airfoil and tapered sash opening assures efficient air flow through fume chamber.

The Uniflow Auxiliary Air Fume Hood is equipped with a Variflow adjustable baffle with radiused entry edges to reduce turbulence. Factory adjusted for general laboratory use, the Variflow baffle may be adjusted for specific airflow requirements.

The safety glass viewing sash is counterbalanced for effortless precise positioning to provide clear viewing and maximum operator safety.

The Auxiliary Air Fume Hood is designed to allow supply air to be introduced through a plenum above the sash opening. When the sash is in a closed position, supply air enters the fume chamber through the by-pass opening and below the air foil. When the sash is in an open position, supply air enters the fume chamber through the sash opening.

1-Uniflow Auxiliary Air Fume Hood with vapor proof fluorescent light. Molded, one piece seamless liner with coved corners for ease of cleaning. The superstructure is constructed of fire retardant, chemical resistant fiberglass, using a minimum of metallic parts. Easy touch vertical-raising viewing sash is constructed of 1/4" clear laminated safety glass with frame and track fabricated of chemical resistant plastic. Optional clear chemical resistant acrylic viewing sash is available for hydrofluoric applications. Auxiliary Air Fume Hood is equipped with variflow baffle to efficiently direct air through fume chamber, baffle is easily removed for cleaning. System includes induced air plenum and automatic air by-pass. Vapor proof two tube fluorescent light fixture mounted behind glass panel with column mounted control switch. Same as No. 1 above- except equipped with built-in fiberglass exhaust blower with polypropylene impellar wheel, remote epoxy coated steel, supply blower, and column mounter control switchs. Blower motor to be 115 volt, 60 cycle, A.C. Other blower motor sizes available upon request.
