Affordable, reliable protection from damage caused by freezing temperatures and frozen burst pipes make the Basic FreezeAlarm a perfect model for frequent travelers and Snowbirds. The Basic FreezeAlarm monitors the temperature of an unoccupied home, cabin, or business. If the temperature drops below 7°C (45°F), the FreezeAlam will automatically dial a user programmed telephone number and sound an alarm tone to the person ansewing the call. The FreezeAlarm is used to protect homes, cabins, and businesses against failure or a prolonged power failure. |

number when the temperature drops below 45°F or 7°C. • Plays an alarm tone to the person answering the call and in most cases will leave the alarm tone on an answering machine or voice mail. • Easily stop the alarm call-out once you have acknowledged the alarm by calling the telephone number of your monitored location and letting the phone ring for 16 times. When the FreezeAlarm answers, you'll hear the alarm tone signifying the alarm call-out has been stopped. • Unit automatically resets itself when the temperature rises above 45°F(7°C). • The Basic FreezeAlarm operates on a 9 Volt Battery. A Lithium or Alkaline battery is recommended, but not included. An Alkaline battery will easily operate the unit for a full winter season. • It is highly recommended you replace the battery each year. The unit does not plug into a power outlet, so it will operate even if the power goes out. |
Although you may have an answering machine or voice mail at the monitored location, unless you have a way to turn off the service or the answering machine temporarily, you may not be able to disable the alarm call-out during a temperature alarm because your answering machine or voice mail will always pick up before your FreezeAlarm has a chance to recognize the 16 rings. If you require an answering machine or voice mail at your monitored location, you may wish to look at our Intermediate or Deluxe models which are designed to work well with such message systems. |
