Biolog Ambulatory Data Recorders

The Biolog(R) is a rugged, yet flexible, ambulatory physiological data recorder supporting a broad line of signal conditioners from a number of channels. Three easily customized platforms are available to fit most physiological research recording needs. The 3992 is pictured to the left. Conditioned data are sampled at the desired resolution (8, 12, or 16 bits) under microprocessor control. Recorded data is compactly stored on a PCMCIA memory card (3992 and 3993 only).

When recording is complete, the card is removed from the Biolog and inserted into a card reader (BCR-100, see below), connected to the host PC through a serial port. The Downloading and Plotting Software (DPS) operating on a PC host computer (win31/9x) supervises downloading the tightly packed data to a disk file. From there it can be viewed, printed, moved to the clipboard, or converted into channel specific ASCII data files (for further spreadsheet analysis) all under DPS control.
