Used to cap ends of concrete specimens in preparation for compression testing. Hi-Cap™ is a thin flake, heat purified (degassed) compound with a melting range of 240° to 290°F (115° to 143°C).
The compressive strength of Hi-Cap™ is 8,000 to 9,000 psi using the 2 inch (51 mm) cube test method. Hi-Cap ™ has been used to test 16,000 PSI concrete on a 6 inch (15.2 cm) diameter cap, 1/4 inch (6.3 mm) thick.
