Combo Mantle

Glas-Col's combination mantles have always been the mantles of choice for repetitive extracting, refluxing, and distilling procedures in labs of the food, textile fiber, water and waste-water, petroleum, and many other industries. Glas-Col now introduces a new version that offers safety and convenience never before available in a multi-place heating mantle.

Each six-place Combo is furnished with six spring-type glassware clamps, and each three-place unit contains three. The clamps (Cat. no. 100D R96116) attach to one of the horizontal support rods.

SIX & THREE PLACE SPACE-SAVING DESIGNS
The Combo Mantle is offered in two, space-saving configurations. For 100 to 300 ml flasks, a six-place unit is available, and a three-place unit is available for 500 to 1000 ml flasks. This new configuration allows us to offer the RX version (for low temperature applications) in 120V. The RJ version (for high temperature applications) is available in 120V for 100 to 800 ml flasks.

  Equipped with one quick-attach open-face bracket for ½" diameter rod. Six-place controls are equipped with two brackets.
Electrical Three-place control has one 6' (1.8m) multi-conductor interconnect cord to mantle and one 4' (1.2m) long, three-wire power cord with grounding plug. Six-place control has two interconnect cords and two power cords.
Finish Black and silver.
The power control must be ordered separately.

HOW TO ORDER

Select the heating mantle from Table A based on the flask being used, the power needed for the application, and the operating voltage. Generally, the RX units are used with solvents common to Soxhlet extractions, and the RJ units are for refluxing aqueous solutions.

Select the required power control from Table B based on mantle configuration (3-place or 6-place) and whether pulsing on-off or constant-input voltage is desired.
