UNIQUE DUAL STABILIZATION CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
Many machine vision applications require ultra-stable light output. All MV Series Illuminators provide such stabilization in an innovative and unique manner. Each illuminator essentially contains two separate power supplies. The first power supply is specifically designed for maximum efficiency (minimum internal power losses) and accomplishes this by precluding any phase shift between the voltage and the current. The second power supply takes the output of the first supply and eliminates the remaining “ripple” frequency in order to ensure that the resulting light output is stable to within ±0.5 %. This technique provides a superior solution to typical simple DC regulated power circuits that will exhibit greater ripple and less efficiency.

Fiber Optic Illuminators are often referred to as “Cold Light” Illuminators because they provide high-intensity, focused light without the heat typically associated with high-intensity lamps.

REMOTE / RS232 CONTROL
  • Control intensity via a remote control interface box, a 0-10 VDC, or a RS232 interface. Unit can also be placed into standby mode using RS232.
  • Optional remote connector permits up to eight separate illuminators to be controlled from a single remote control or RS232 interface. Ideal for Machine Vision and Metrology
