Model FF 131

The FireFLIR 131 combines state-of-the-art detector technology with innovative, task-oriented mechanical design.  The FF 131 features a customized MicroIR microbolometer detector that has the best resolution, fastest update rate, and widest dynamic range available in the firefighting industry. The use of proprietary fully upgradeable software gives the FF 131 through-the-lens digital temperature measurement, exclusive color palates, and InfoTherm, an exciting feature that enhances situational awareness by applying a color palette to temperatures around the combustion point of paper and wood products.

WIDE DYNAMIC RANGE
The FireFLIR FF 131 imager provides clear images even in environments with widely varying temperatures. With a nominal dynamic range of 600 degrees C, all aspects of the viewed scene are shown in the viewer.
FAST REFRESH RATE
The FireFLIR FF 131 displays a clear, stable image, with an update (refresh rate) of 60 Hz NTSC or 50 Hz PAL.
ERGONOMICALLY DESIGNED
The ergonomic mechanical design of the FF 131 complements the firefighter’s ensemble. A variety of holding positions give firefighters maximum flexibility, including the ability to look under, over, and around obstacles. Whether standing, walking, crawling, or kneeling, firefighters can comfortably rely on the FF 131 to see the scene in front of them. With the industry’s largest display, the FF 131 also allows for shared viewing by an entire attack team. The controls are large and easy to reach with one hand, and battery change is fast and easy, even in dark or smoky atmospheres.
Most hand-held cameras require the user to hold the camera directly in front of the face at 30-45 cm (12-19 inches) from the face. This holding position concentrates all the strain on the shoulder muscle. Additionally, holding the camera in front of the face blocks the users’ natural field of view. The FF 131's ergonomically designed handle and angled display allows the camera to be held at waist height and can even be braced against the body. The lower holding position more evenly distributes the weight to the entire arm.
ONE HANDED OPERATION
The wide angle viewing (55°) and balanced weight of the FF 131 allow it to be used with one hand. This allows for the natural movements a firefighter must employ in the various phases of a firefighting operation. Regardless of the condition (crawling, standing, overhead, etc.) the FF 131 becomes a natural extension of what the firefighter wants to see.
QUICK (TOXIC) BATTERY CHANGE
A reversible battery and quick-latch battery door enable fast, easy battery changes in total dark or obscured environments.

Radiometry
The Radiometry option provides a small target area in the center of the display screen (64 pixels) and a digital readout appears in the lower right corner of the display and gives the temperature as degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius.
InfoTherm
InfoTherm is a specialized palette the presents temperatures above 200°C using the autumn palette. Temperatures below 200°C are displayed using the grayscale palette. This allows the user to identify hot spots quickly.
Transmitter
The FireFLIR Wireless Transmission system consists of a four channel transmitter, receiver, antenna and tripod.
Power for the transmitter is obtained from the FireFLIR unit. No extra components are required for transmitter operation.
Operating Frequency: 2456 to 2477 MHz (in 4 channels), Output Power: 350 mW
Receiver Kit
The system receiver is a compact, two channel unit that only requires a conenction to the antenna and power source (and monitor). Two video outputs are provided allowing for a variety of display and recording configurations.
Video Output: NTSC or PAL (depending on source transmission), Power Requirements: 12 VDC or 120 VAC with adapter, Frequency: 2456 to 2477 MHz (in 4 channels)
Antenna
The system antenna is a high gain unit, giving the system maximum range for the available transmitter power and the ever changing operating environment.
14" Patch, 18 dBi gain
Rubber Head Protector
The Rubber Head Protector provides additional impact protection for your FireFLIR FF131 Imager.
Six Bay Battery Charger
The Six Bay Battery Charger enables the simultaneous charging of six FireFLIR batteries. This is the best option for insuring a fully charged battery at all times.
