Reduces test samples too large to handle conveniently.

Handles any material from sand sizes up to 4". Heavy welded steel construction
loading hopper holds up to 1 cu. ft. (0.03m³), lever-actuated clamshell
hopper, two material pans slide under each half of splitter chute. One pan
can be replaced by a bag loading chute to return one half of the charge
to a sample bag.
The single-splitter chute has aluminum or plated
steel bars with a locating rod passed through their lower ends to provide wide
flexibility in sizes of chute openings. Each 12"-wide chute bar adjusts
for any increment of 1/2" wide to allow 1/2" adjustment that will
divide into the total 24" chute width evenly. Chute widths of 1/2",
1", 1 1/2", 2", 3", up to 4" may be selected by proper
positioning of the chute bars. Two materials pans are included.
