| Model HM-2560A |
| For determining the consolidated, drained shear strength
of soils in direct shear (ASTM D3080, AASHTO T236 and BS1377 standards),
Humbolt manufactures two machines. One, the HM-2560A, is a self contained
unit, which uses pneumatic loading for applying the vertical load to the
sample. The other, the HM-2700 Series, is a dead weight-type unit that comes
in three configurations: a standard controller model; a controller with
four analog instrumentation channel inputs, an RS232 Port and RS-485 Input
and Output, and, a controller with four Digital instrumentation channel
inputs, an RS232 Port and RS-485 Input and Output. All models feature stainless steel strain rods with anodized cast aluminium shearbox carriages (water chamber) for corrosion resistance and long service life. Shearboxes are constructed of anodized aluminium for light weight. A complete offering of shearboxes, proving rings, load cells, digital/dial gauges, transducers and weights are available to accomodate any application. |
