A good analysis starts with good sample preparation. Sample preparation for microbiological testing requires an aseptic, rapid, and a simple technique in order to obtain reproducible and accurate results. The MASTICATOR homogenizers satisfies all these requirements.

Samples are placed in disposable sterile polyethylene bags. The two paddles genly, but thoroughly homogenize the sample with the diluent. The diluent penetrates inside the tissue of the sample and is pushed out again, creating a perfect solution for futher analysis. Since the sample is contained in an individual sterile disposable bag and does not come in contact with the instrument, there is no potential for cross-contamination. Handling of the sample is minimized, also reducing potential for contamination.

The MASTICATOR gives a representative solution of the microbial flora in the sample because it is never exposed to thermal or mechanical influences which could alter the leve ls. The homogenizing compartment is made of stainless steel for easy cleaning although it is not required.

MASTICATOR SILVER

The SILVER allow the operator the flexibility to define the speed and time programs. The settinbg of 4 preset speeds and 10 preset times is displayed digitally on the system. All programs are stored in memory and recalled when desired.

Until another program is requested the MASTICATOR will retain the last program used. The user does not need to program the system each time. Therefore each sample is treated exactly the same from day to day.

MASTICATOR CLASSIC

Our CLASSIC model offers all the basic features: automatic start by closing the front-door; adjustable timer function from 15-90 seconds with an automatic stop or continuous operation. The instrument works at a fixed speed of 8.5 strokes/second which is suitable for most applications.

In both SILVER and CLASSIC models, an optional PANORAMIC window on the front panel allows the user to see the homogenization process.
