The following characteristics are common to all 3 device types distinguished by the physical communication medium:
- 4 high resolution analog inputs (AI1-AI4). Range selection between 0-1 Volt, 0-20 mA, 0-20/4-20 mA, PT100, RTD and AD592 temperature sensors. Two alarm limit definition capability for each analog channel. Analog inputs can be expanded to 16 by means of 3 GE-AI-4 modular expansion modules.
- 4 digital inputs for state recording and alarming. Two of them have pulse counting capability up to 3 KHz supporting sensors with pulse output (power meters, flow meters, etc.). Digital inputs can be expanded to 16 by means of 3 GE-DIO-42 modular expansion modules.
- 2 digital relay outputs that are user (for remote control) or alarm triggered. Digital outputs can be expanded to 8 by means of 3 GE-DIO-42 modular expansion modules.
- External DIN rail adaptor with screw terminals for convenient wiring.
- Power fail safe memory for up to 40,000 channel records.
- Alarm recording and annunciation via email and SMS.
- Scheduled data transmission via email file attachement and FTP.
- TCP and SMS ASCII commands for parameter setting and remote control.
- Internal web server publishing a two pages HTML site on the internet, allowing real time monitoring of the measurements and operating states and allowing limited parameter changing.
- Serial communication RS232 port supporting local communication and convenient parameter setting and firmware upgrading using a PC and the powerful iLOGPlus Transporter utility.

iLOGPlus-GSM
The device carries a built-in GSM / GPRS modem and can automatically connect via a mobile telephony network to an ISP provider, to transmit its data via email or ftp and alarms via email or SMS. The unit controls the internal modem power supply for power saving purposes in applications with battery operation.
iLOGPlus-LAN
The device carries a built-in Ethernet/LAN adaptor and can be directly hooked on to a local network. It can connects via gateway or a GSM network router to the Internet. SMS alarming is supportedwith an external GSM modem attached on the local serial port.
iLOGPlus-EDM
The device supports any PSTN or wireless modem, including satellite modems, using the standard Hayes command set. SMS alarming is supported with an external GSM/GPRS modem. It uses a dial up connection to connect to the ISP provider and send data and alarms. The unit provides an internal contact to control the modem supply for power saving purposes and safe operation (Modem reset).
