The new Informant 2 - the only dual-purpose, refrigerant/combustibles leak detector on the market - is also the fastest, most precise leak detector available. Its powerful combination of advanced sensor technology, microprocessor-controlled circuitry and state-of-the-art software design offers unsurpassed accuracy and reliability with astonishing speed - identifying either refrigerant or combustible leak sources in 2/10 of a second.

The Informant 2 utilizes a unique Bacharach-developed heated diode sensor and features an automatic sensitivity adjustment so it is quickly responsive to all types of refrigerant. It also detects all combustible gases with a 50 ppm minimum. It includes an audible leak indicator with mute option, as well as dual bar graph displays and a flashing probe tip for visual confirmation. Plus, The Informant 2's lightweight, ergonomic design and flexible two-position probe with tapered probe end make finding hard-to-reach leak sources easy. The Informant 2 comes complete with a soft-sided carrying pouch that can be attached to the waist for easy portability. For added protection, an optional rubber boot with a MagLitel flashlight cavity is available to facilitate one-handed inspections.

Because the Informant 2 detects either refrigerant or combustible leaks, the instrument can be used for leak detection in air-conditioning units or refrigeration systems as well as residential, commercial and industrial appliances/equipment.
