| The LaserAce® Hypsometer is a
‘camcorder’ sized hand-held reflectorless (no tree targets
or transponders) laser distance meter / inclinometer with an onboard multifunction

| The LaserAce® Hyspometer allows users to remotely measure
tree heights, tree diameters (at any height), simple or ‘taper’
log volume, tree length or lean. Onboard memory stores results and raw measurements for later analysis and / or down loading to PCs / or PDAs using it’s onboard Bluetooth® data link. |

| A high quality backlit graphics LCD provides a clear display
of measured data or computed results and for reviewing stored data onsite. The system incorporates an eye safe (Class 1) laser distance meter and digital inclinometer. The internal microcomputer ‘forestry’ software program automatically carries out mathematical calculations for instant field results. No external computers or PDAs are required in the field affording users considerable cost savings on field operations. |
| Critical Height / Diameter ‘Alert’ |
| By entering a required height / minimum log length or diameter in the set-up menu, the Hypsometer alarms (beeps) when the required height / length or diameter is reached while scanning up or down the tree. |
| Bush Filter Mode |
| Measuring baselines while traversing through undergrowth is problematic for reflectorless lasers, which will automatically measure to the nearest (obstructing) target. By selecting the Bush Filter function, ranges measured to reflective foil targets are unaffected by intermediate targets such as branches, trees, chain link fences, etc. |

| The 5 x 20 magnifying stadia scope allows remote measurement of tree diameter at any height. | |

The onboard tree volume function combines the simple diameter or taper factor (user selectable) with measured tree length from either single, two point or three point height measurement routine. |

| Area and Volume |
| The Hypsometer area and volume function enables the surface
area of triangles (three side measurement) or rectangles (length and width)
to be easily measured by one person. For calculating the volume of wood chip piles, a ‘conical volume’ function is provided. An accumulator enables complex areas and volumes to be calculated. |
