For Extraction and Recovery of Asphalt Cement |
| Description |
LENIUM RV is a stabilized normal Propyl Bromide (n-PB) formulation
specially designed to remove contaminants such as bituminous cement,
oils, and greases. The fluid has physical properties and solvency
characteristics that are similar to chlorinated solvents such as
1,1,1-trichloroethane (TCA) and trichloroethylene (TCE). LENIUM RV is an ideal replacement for 1,1,1-trichloroethane, trichloroethylene, and methylene chloride used in tests for Asphalt Content Extraction (ASTM D2172), Recovery of Extracted Binder (Abson-ASTM D1856; Rotavapor ASTM D5404), or combined extraction and recovery methods (AASHTO T 319-031). |
| Typical Properties |
The physical and environmental properties of LENIUM RV are compared to other chlorinated solvents in Table 1. |
