Microprocessor Based Digital Penetrometer

Models K95500-00000 and K95590-00000 Digital Penetrometers are micro-processor based penetrometers that determine the consistency of petroleum products, cosmetics, pastes, creams and other solid materials. It also provides highly reproducible measurements.

 

FEATURES
Automatically Timed Penetrations
  • Operator programmable between 0-9999.9 seconds in 0.1 second increments.
  • Automatic repeat of selected penetration interval until changed by operator.
  • Automatic default to ASTM interval of 5.0 seconds.
  • LCD display of selected interval and countdown of interval during testing.
  • Delay function : allows operator to delay the dropping of the penetrator into the sample for a predetermined period of time after depressing the start button. The delay period is then followed by the selected penetration interval.
Full Penetration Scale and Measurement/Reporting Options
  • Measurement range of 0-620 in 1/10 mm scale.
  • Optional measurement scale- hundredths of a millimeter- selected at the push of a button.
  • A penetration measurement outside this range triggers an audible alarm and a visual display.
  • Automatic repeat of selected parameters until changes by operator.
  • Communicated via RS232 interface with a printer or computer for test data reporting.
Simplified Penetration Tip Placement
  • Four (4) operator programmable presets for lowering the penetrator tip to the sample surface.
  • Coarse and Fine hand controls for lowering and raising the penetrometer manually.
  • Express push button returns penetrometer head to a raised position after testing.
  • Automatic placement of penetration tip on electrically conductive samples.
  • Magnifier and illuminator to facilitate checking penetrometer placement on the sample.
Added Convenience Features
  • Removable base permits installation of penetrometer head assembly directly to a water bath or lab bench.
  • Operates on 115V/220-240V electrical supply or built-in battery pack (12V).
  • Light weight (approximately 15 lbs./6.81kg)
