Piezo-Micromanipulator
Model PM 10-1

The one-axis micromanipulator PM 10-1 is a combination of piezo-stepper and motorized micromanipulator. The function is essentially that of the PM 10 i.e. natural retraction of the piezo-element into its resting position (after a forward step) is being compensated by advance of the motorized manipulator.

The pipette tip thus remains in the chosen position. The well known advantages of a piezo-stepper (e.g. rapid accelleration and high velocity) can therefore be used over the entire excursion range of the micromanipulator (10 mm).

The controller for the PM 10-1 piezo-micromanipulator is equipped with an LCD position display (resolution 10 µm). The PM 10-1 can be attached to our customer's own micromanipulator by means of the mounting base which has predrilled, threaded holes. On request we supply complete attachment kits for special micromanipulators.
