Calibrate the 11063 by immersing in a cup of ice water. Press the CAL button and allow it to cycle. Thermometer is calibrated!

Digital Probe Thermometer Auto-Calibration Procedure
1. Fill a cup with crushed ice and then add water. Make sure probe ti p is fully submerged in the ice water during the enti re calibrati on procedure.
2. Turn on the thermometer and set for C or F scale.
3. Rotate pocket clip to expose “CAL” butt on.
4. Place probe ti p in center of cup making sure ti p is fully submerged but not in contact with cup surface. Sti r for a minimum of 15 seconds. (Figure 1)
5. While keeping probe ti p completely submerged, press and hold “CAL” butt on for 2 seconds (Figure 2) unti l “CAL” appears on the LCD, then release. (Figure 3)
6. During this procedure, aft er “CAL” appears on the LCD, thermometer will automati cally:
  a. Take readings unti l a stable set of readings has been recorded.
b. Display last 3 readings with a “C” before the number.
c. Complete calibrati on and return to operati on mode. (Figure 4)

Notes:
• If “Err 1” appears on the LCD display, fi rst reading is greater than 35.6°F (2°C). To clear, shut off thermometer and start again.
• If “Err 2” appears on the LCD display, the average reading was outside the +/- 0.54°F (0.3°C) tolerance range. To clear, shut off thermometer and restart.
