Indicates altitude instantly without
lag. Fully temperature compensated, this altimeter eliminates guess work
in reading elevations. The non-glare dials are graduated in intervals
as close as one foot. There is no need to tap or vibrate instrument to
take accurate readings.
By using the null
(zero gauging) principle, frictional parts, such as chains and levers,
are eliminated. The altimeter works on a principle similar to a balance
beam. Atmospheric pressure acting on the diaphragm causes the pointer
to instantly swing to the left or right indicating the direction of the
change. Since the pressure changes are limited to a few thousandths of
an inch, friction errors are eliminated.
Altitude is displayed on a 7" diameter analog
dial with etched face.
