Personal sampling pumps are key tools for exposure assesment. The accuracy of sampling depends on how much air passes through the sampling media and good laboratory analysis. As a common practice, sampling pumps should be calibrated before and rechecked after sampling using a calibration device and procedure. TSI offers two configurations for calibrating pumps that draw an active air sample.

The Model 4146 pump calibrator offers a range of 0.01 to 20 lpm and Model 4046, from 2.5 to 300 lpm. These small, portable, battery-operated units are lightweight ad easy to se. Volumetric flowrate is displayed continuously so adjustments to pump flow can be made in real-time. The flowmeters are temperature-compensated and pressure-corrected to calculate volumetric flow rate at an accuracy within 2% of reading.
