The ALL Weather Plastic Rain Gauge,
model P-2000, is made of rugged butyrate plastic and can measure up to
280mm of precipitation. The top funnel catches the rain and delivers it
to the measuring tube. The measuring tube has a capacity of 25.4mm. Rainfalls
of less than 25.4mm can be read directly from the measuring tube. |
| If rainfalls exceed 25.4mm, the excess flows into the outer cylinder and is measued by pouring into the measuring tube. Receiving funnel and measuring tube are removed for collection of snow. Diameter of gauge orifice is 102mm and gauge height is 355mm. |
