Goniomètre de poche II

THE MANUALLY OPERATED "POCKET GONIOMETER I" HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED BY THE MANUFACTURER. ITEM N001-014 IS NOW POCKET GONIOMETER II.

Also available by special request is Version III. See details below:

The POCKET GONIOMETER II and III are video-based instruments that automatically record the interaction of the droplet and the material surface to measure contact angle (wetting), volume (absorption) and base width (spreading) of the droplet as a function of time. The integratedcamera captures 15 images per second providing real-time determination of the dynamic contact angle and the static contact angle rate of change over time. The PG-2 utilizes a manually operated dispenser to apply the droplet while the PG-3 has an integrated micro-pump, which can deliver accurate droplets in 0,5 µl steps.

*Provides a fast and accurate way to evaluate the behavior of liquids on surfaces.
*Connects to a standard laptop or PC with a USB port, which also supplies power to the instrument.
*Unlimited Applications such as: Adhesion, Printability, Surface Wetting, Corona Treatment, Surface Sizing, Liquid Spreading, Flame Treatment, Surface Contamination, Surface Tension, Liquid Penetration, Surface Energy

The POCKET GONIOMETER II and III simplify testing with the ease of automatic computer analysis. Connect your instrument to a standard PC or laptop with a USB interface and start the software. The instrument receives power through the USB connection and the video image and test results are automatically displayed.

Modes of operation
Several modes are available for testing different materials and calculating a variety of results.
Static Mode — Ideal for solid materials where the droplet does not penetrate. It provides a single measurement of contact angle.
Dynamic Mode — A sequence of images from the same droplet is automatically captured. Ideal for troubleshooting dynamic processes including printing, gluing and coating applications.
View Mode — This function displays previously saved data and will generate reports.
Surface Tension Mode — Measures the purity of the test liquid. A sufficiently large droplet is pumped out and the surface tension is determined from the droplet.
Surface Energy Mode — Surface Energy is calculated from contact angles using one or more test liquids.
Calibration Mode — Automatic function for setting light sensitive and scale factors using the calibration tool with artificial reference droplets.
AutoRepeat Mode — This function allows for the additional capturing of an image sequence from an existing droplet to perform long-time studies of static contact angles and surface tension variation over a period of time.
