Model DR 5000

This newly developed refractometer is designed to meet the most demanding requirements for precision and accuracy. The user can select various readout scales including refractive index and sugar concentration (Brix degree). Temperature of the sample is always displayed simultaneously on the LCD. The keyboard with software driven function keys programs and controls the instrument.

Temperature compensation is selectable to ICUMSA or programmable for your own products. Connectors for a thermostatic control device are available. Operation modes such as single or continuous measurement are selectable using a menu driven program. A printer port is available for printout of the sample number and readings as well as the temperature. Readings can also be transmitted to a serial port (for data storage on a PC) or to an analog port (for controlling a PLC). 

The flow-through cell provides a continuous mode for process control. In this mode, relays are available for programming upper / lower reading limits.

When connected to a printer (for example CBM 910), all readings can be printed with the sample number, date and time. In the continuous mode, readings are taken at specified time intervals and automatically transmitted to the digial and analog outputs.
