of times harder than steel.This hardness translates into sharper edges and increased
durability.Take care to avoid contact of the edge with anything other than your
sample and it Witt last for thousands of sections freeing you from searching
for razor blades on a weekly basis. The sapphire knife fits tightly in the standard
knife holder of the Vibratome 1000 Classic,1000 Plus,1500,and 3000 series products.
