The Digital KU-2 Stormer-Type Viscometer provides a direct digital reading in Krebs units (KU), centipoise and grams (gm). This simplifies an established test procedure of providing a readout in Krebs units, with the added advantage of an immediate calculation of the viscosity value in grams and centipoise.

The Digital KU-2 Stormer-Type Viscometer can be equipped with an air purge that allows the interior of the instrument to be pressurized with air or inert gas. Recommended when working in a hazardous environment.

Procedure
Samples are tested in paint industry cans that are filled to within 3/4” (20 mm) of the top. The KU-2 Stormer-Type Viscometer operating lever has two positions:
  • Up, where the spindle is stationary and the motor is off
  • Down, when the spindle is rotating and measurement is occurring
Press the Hold switch at any time to freeze the display reading.
