The HS-4500 is a completely self contained, filtered-air workstation and work surface in one package. The angled clear acrylic shield over the work area provides full visibility with easy access to instruments or containers inside. The built-in gooseneck worklight is adjustable to provide illumination at the most effective angles. This unit is often selected for use with a microscope and is available with an appropriate opening in the face shield to accommodate most stereo zoom microscopes.

The filter housing is designed to hold one or more filters simultaneously, allowing one station to be used for multiple pollutants or procedures. Filters are easily accessed for replacement with no tools required. The system is powered by a 530 cfm rated blower and it has a variable speed control for quiet and efficient operation. There is a built in AC outlet for plugging in a microscope, soldering iron, dictation equipment, additional lighting or other electrical device. The workstation weighs approximately 65 pounds and it can be conveniently moved to any workplace.
