Our total solar pyranometers includes the TSP-700, TSP-700/A, TSP-400, and TSP-400V. These precision meteorological instruments measure global (direct and diffuse) total solar radiation, and meet or exceed World Meteorological Organization (WMO) requirements. They are ruggedlxy designed for long-term field use. Total solar pyranometers measure total solar radiation by comparing the temperature of a radiation -absorbing surface with a radiation-shielded reference.

YES's TSP instruments improve on this basic technique by incorporating modern materials in their design. The TSP-700 meets the WMO requirements for a "high quality" pyranometer, and when individually characterized may be suitable as a secondary pyranometer. Its radiationreceiving surface is thermally bonded to modern thin-film platinum resistance thermometers (PRTs).

The TSP-700 provides a high-level, low-impedance output signal, superior linearity and long-term calibration stability, excellent cosine response completely free of axial asymmetry errors, and freedom from the effects of changes in ambient temperature. The TSP-700 is ventilated to minimize the effects of changes in atmospheric temperature and to eliminate dew formation on the dome. Three levels of heating are provided for dew removal depending on installation requirements.

The TSP-400 also meets the WMO specifications for a "high quality" pyranometer. Its design for temperature measurement uses a rugged metal solar radiation-receiving surface, thermally bonded to a modern bismuth telluride thermopile.

The TSP-400V TSP-400V TOTAL SOLAR PYRANOMETER with ventilation fan and heater. Double-dome design blocks long-wave radiation and prevents conductive cooling of radiation sensing element. Includes 3-meter cable, calibration, and user manual.

The TSP-700/A is specifically designed for aircraft applications. It uses the advanced optical technology of the TSP-700 in a non-ventilated housing designed for flight use.

The UVPS power supply is also available to provide DC power for TSP instruments. The UVPS is intended for applications where the user supplies a data acquisition system. It requires 110/220 VAC, 50/60 Hz.
